New web insights and other product updates for June
Welcome everyone to the June product roundup for Microsoft Advertising! With summer in the Northern Hemisphere in full swing, there’s no better time to get up to speed on the latest and greatest in the Microsoft Advertising platform.
In the last month, we’ve shared some key Roku insights for verticals, tips for marketing in economic uncertainty, and also a new solution to monetize your AI-powered chat experiences. Let’s dive into the other key product updates.
This month’s top story: Introducing new website insights for Universal Event Tracking Tag
Did you hear the news over the Memorial Day holiday? We’re introducing UET insights, a valuable new feature that we’ll add to your existing UET tags with no additional coding required from you. You’ll get a deeper understanding of your website’s performance and also enable Microsoft Advertising to optimize your ad performance more effectively via improved targeting, fraud detection, and reduced conversion loss.
This will be rolling out automatically starting on mid-July. To learn more about this feature and if you want any information on how to manage this automatic upgrade, you can read the blog.
Cross-Device attribution update for conversions
We’re also excited to share that we have a conversion attribution update coming later this month for all our customers. The new Cross-Device attribution model allows us to better track and connect your customers’ conversion journeys across different devices and sessions. For example, if a user clicks on an ad using their laptop but converts on their phone, we’ll now credit that conversion to the initial ad click on the laptop.
Although there won't be any new features or settings in Microsoft Advertising online, you might see a small increase in the number of conversions in your performance reports because of the improved accuracy we’re implementing.
New markets added to Microsoft Advertising
Also announced this week, following on from our big expansion push throughout 2022, we’re excited to continue bringing more opportunities to advertisers so you can reach your audiences wherever they happen to be in the world. As of this week, the following 23 new markets are open for all customers to advertise with us: Antigua and Barbuda, Central African Republic, Christmas Island, Cocos (Keeling) Islands, Comoros, Cook Islands, Djibouti, Eritrea, Guadeloupe, Guinea-Bissau, Mayotte, Nauru, Niue, Norfolk Island, Palau, Pitcairn Islands, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, Samoa, Sierra Leone, Tokelau, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, and Wallis and Futuna.
Microsoft Audience Network releases: Pinterest Import and Dynamic remarketing
To better seamlessly integrate your marketing strategy across platforms, we’ve now fully released Pinterest Import in all markets with the Microsoft Audience Network (MSAN). Now you can easily import campaigns from Pinterest Ads to get up and running.
To learn more, see our help page.
Additionally, Dynamic remarketing on MSAN for Autos, Events, and Travel (Tours, Activities, and Hotels) is now generally available in the US, Canada, and the UK. This allows you to use your feeds to create rich ad experiences on the Microsoft Audience Network and, using intent signals powered by AI, we’ll match your target audience with the items in your feed where they’ve shown interest.
Getting started with your feed is easy. To learn more about setup, check this Dynamic remarketing guide.
That’s all for June—we’ll see you back here on July 11 with another recap after the US holiday. Take care everyone!
