Retail continues to grow on Microsoft Search Advertising, with Variety stores and Home & Garden subcategories seeing the highest share of online sales. Clicks are also seeing similar patterns.

Retail clicks grew 35% year-over-year (YoY) as consumers moved online due to restrictions and seeking a safe way to shop. Despite lockdown restrictions easing, this growth has continued, with Retail conversions up by 2% YoY (this in addition to a 128% YoY increase last year). And with end-of-financial-year related searches growing 141% YoY, Department Stores and Apparel are seeing particularly strong seasonality.
