Are you planning on traveling this winter? Third party research indicates consumers are more comfortable traveling compared to 2020, and as a result, Microsoft Advertising Insights has found that travel related searches are already surpassing 2019 numbers.
When looking at search trends in the winter months, the last week of the year tends to draw the largest volume after plateauing at the beginning of December. Winter also sees a peak in searches for last minute getaways beginning in late November and lasting through January. When planning your campaigns, be sure to implement remarketing to reconnect with previous site visitors who may be planning their last minute travel plans. Additional subcategories that may see their peak search volume this winter include agritourism, ski accommodations, and ecotourism.
