2021 is set to be a big year for smartphone purchases. After a decrease in smartphone shipments in 2020, consumer intent to purchase is at its highest in five years, with an expected $61 billion in 5G handset sales.
Microsoft Advertising looked at how consumers may be searching for phone-related terms this upcoming phone launch season. We found that phone model and carrier searches are in line with 2019 “normal” levels
and 5G search interest has increased greatly over the past three years.
Surveys have indicated that most U.S. consumers are open to the adoption of 5G.
