Have you planned your summer vacation yet? Research indicates that 81% of Americans plan to travel in summer 2022.1 Microsoft Advertising Insights looked at trends for the Accommodations, Cruise, and Transportation verticals to see how advertisers can boost their impact this summer.

Last year, searches for Accommodations peaked in July, and forecasts indicate that 2022 will see similar search patterns to 2021, with volume peaking the week after the Fourth of July.2 For Cruises, we recommend ensuring coverage of both brand and non-brand terms for upcoming campaigns, as 34% of the top cruise queries from July 2021 included brand terms.3 Transportation clicks on the Microsoft Audience Network are also seeing new highs.4 Be sure to leverage increased customer demand with Microsoft first-party data about search purpose, processed by robust artificial intelligence.
