Priorities for 2015: Simplify the Bing Ads Sign In Page

Here at Bing Ads we’ve been taking a close look at our sign in experience, and we’ve come up with some improvements that we want you to check out!

What’s changing

For quite some time, we’ve had two different sign in pages for Bing Ads: One where you use your Bing Ads username and password, and another one where you use your Microsoft account email and password.

Most of the time you will only see one of these sign in pages, but there are certain cases where you may have to switch between the two pages.

We’ve consistently heard that it’s really hard to tell the difference between the two pages, so we’ve been working on some new designs that will make it clear which page you’re on, and where you need to go to sign in to Bing Ads!

Designing the Solution

If you’re still using a Bing Ads username and password, you’re probably familiar with this page.


If you wind up here, but actually need to sign in with your Microsoft account, you’d need to click the link in the bottom right on the page. You’ve let us know that this can be hard to see, so in the new designs we’ve worked to generally simplify the design and make the Microsoft account option stand out more.

If you sign in to Bing Ads with a Microsoft account, you will usually use this page.

Here, we’re simplifying again by updating the image and removing some of the clutter.
