Microsoft Advertising Insights explored how German travel is affected and found that while traveling is picking up again, most people want to make sure it’s being done in a safe way.
Some of the trends we’re seeing related to safer travel in Germany are:

- Desired destinations are shifting from urban to rural places, especially as cultural events continue being canceled.
- Most travelers are looking domestically.
- Travelers searching for vacation rentals have a clear idea of where they want to go and rarely change the original destination theme.
