As 2019 comes to a close, we take a look back and focus on some of our customers’ success from the year.  Our client’s success is our success. We take great pride in highlighting individuals, agencies, and companies who are doing great work and succeeding in their respective industries.

iProspect and Microsoft team up for build-a-bot workshops

Earlier this year, we teamed up with iProspect to host a build-a-bot workshop. With the goal of using Microsoft artificial intelligence to create more innovative solutions, the team was able to create new chatbots during the workshop. While those chatbots created during the workshop were for internal use, they were then able to use those skills and provide the same solution to their clients.

Mindshare helps Volvo boosts campaign CTR

Mid-2018 was an exciting time for Volvo Cars USA. The company was gearing up to announce their newly redesigned Volvo S60 sedan, while they also needed to keep sales momentum high and campaign costs low for the Volvo XC90. This presented a few challenges for the digital marketing team at Volvo and their media agency, Mindshare. When their Microsoft Advertising account team approached Mindshare about beta-testing the Microsoft Audience Network, they thought of Volvo.

Logical Position and the power of leading by example

With so much going on in the world, it’s more important than ever for people to help others. That’s why we were honored this year to highlight Logical Position, a full-service digital marketing agency, and how they lead by example. For them, giving back is a natural extension of what they do. This year, they upped the ante on their giving efforts by creating an internal philanthropic group called A.C.E.S., which aims to cultivate year-round opportunities for employees to give back to the community.

Thriftbooks boosts revenue with Microsoft Audience Ads

Searching for a secondhand page turner? Thriftbooks probably has what you’re looking for. The Tukwila-based online bookseller created software that enables them to more easily sort, organize, grade, list, and price thousands of book titles per day. After hearing about the Microsoft Audience Network at SMX, they jumped right in. Since deploying Audience Ads in September 2018, Thriftbooks has boosted the reach of its Shopping Campaigns by 18% in terms of impressions.

Air France and Performics soared with combined search ad solutions

Performics helped to bolster online acquisition and improve pay-per-click campaign efficiency for their client, Air France. To achieve this, they utilized two Microsoft Advertising features across all of their campaigns: Enhanced CPC and Remarketing. Performics helped Air France add audience lists based on the pages visited on several Air France websites to take advantage of the Remarketing solution. By combining these two features, Air France’s CPC was reduced by 26%, and sales were increased by 43% in one year.

ROI Revolution and KaTom Restaurant Supply, Inc scale reach and increase returns

When leading agency, ROI Revolution, was approached by their client KaTom Restaurant Supply, Inc to increase their reach and return on ad spend (ROAS), they consulted with their account team here at Microsoft Advertising. With the team’s recommendation of utilizing Product Audiences, ROI Revolution was able to increase KaTom’s Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) by 317% in 30 days.

Virgin Australia and Columbus fly high with innovative data management

Colombus, a Merkle company, helped Virgin Australia increase their investment in Microsoft Advertising by 18%, and were able to achieve a recent 18% year-over-year growth. They used a pairing of Adobe Audience Manager and Microsoft Advertising and were able to increase their conversion rate and average order value of bookings.

Overstock seals more deals with Microsoft Audience Ads

If you’re an online shopper, you’ve likely spent time on Overstock knows that getting in front of people when they first start searching for furniture is key. That’s where Microsoft Audience Ads came in. By utilizing Audience Ads, which blend naturally into consumers’ experiences on sites such as MSN and, they’re able to bring their message to the right customers at the right time. In the year since Overstock implemented Microsoft Audience Ads, they increased click volume by 576% weekly and increased revenue by 1,247% weekly.
