“Pro Bingers” Explain Why They Became Accredited

If you aren’t familiar with the Bing Ads Professional Program, there is no better time than the present to become accredited!  We just released new training and exam questions in our recent launch (read more about it), alongside a host of other goodies to help you along the way.

Maybe you already know about the program and wonder, what’s the point?  Good question!  We asked our community why they decided to become “Pro Bingers” and how it helped them professionally, and would like to share the responses of three particular search marketers: Nicole Mintiens of G5 Search Marketing, Elizabeth Marsten of Portent Interactive, and Ariana Wolf (@ArianaWolf) of 90octane

Why did you take the exam?

Mintiens: I took the Accredited Professional exam to concrete my understanding and new offerings of the search engine marketing platform. As well as to be listed in the marketers database as a knowledgeable Bing marketing professional.

Marsten: Keeping up to date on accreditation is really important, especially in an industry that moves as fast as paid search does. It’s also free, so why wouldn’t you at least try?

Wolf: One thing that I love about working in search engine marketing is that it’s constantly evolving. In order to make sure we are getting the best return on investment for our clients at 90octane, it’s vitally important to stay up-to-date on changes in the industry and in the tools we use.

How has it helped you?

Mintiens: The exam helped to solidify my knowledge of current and past online marketing and Bing Ads interface options available to my clients and myself as an advertiser. A lot of optimizations and improvements have been rolled out recently and I want to be sure I'm on top of them in order to be on the bleeding edge of search engine marketing.

Marsten: Besides now being able to teleport and play the piano, I now have a handy badge that settles the question that, yes- indeed, I do know what I’m talking about with it comes to Bing Ads.

Wolf: Reviewing the free Bing Ads training materials and taking the accreditation exam once a year helps me ensure that I’m always aware of new options for effectively managing our clients’ PPC campaigns. Plus, I think it gives clients peace of mind, knowing that the team managing their campaigns is made up of accredited paid search professionals.

Would you recommend becoming a Bing Ads Accredited Professional?

Mintiens: I would recommend Bing advertisers to become accredited since the study and review process helps to familiarize marketers with recent improvements and upgrades to the constantly evolving search engine marketing platform. Also, since it is now free to take the exam there is little risk involved and the benefit of receiving the accreditation far outweighs the time investment involved.

Marsten: Definitely. It’s something I look for on resumes. It’s nice that PPC marketers can provide “proof” that they are qualified at any level.

Wolf: I recommend the Bing Ads Accredited Professional Program to aspiring paid search professionals and long-time PPC managers alike.
