Bing Ads and You: How You Shape Editor's Evolution
15 October 2013
Bing Ads Editor is undergoing a major makeover. A number of changes were packaged into the recent release of Editor v9.9. If you're managing campaigns or keywords in bulk, I encourage you to download Editor and let us know what you think. Your continued feedback is guiding this important tool's development.
Behind the Scenes
The updates in Editor v9.9 were shaped directly by your feedback. We aggregated insight from focus groups, user research, social media, forums, and User Voice, and prioritized our efforts accordingly:
Our engineers focused on these three fronts: Usability, Reliability, and Speed.
- UX: The User Interface was redesigned for usability; namely parity with other industry products, to align with the workflow our customers were used to.
- Speed: Consensus here was straightforward: faster is better. We’ve made it faster- quite a bit, in fact- and we hope you will notice the difference when importing and exporting data. We're continuing to prioritize speed and capacity improvement for users with hundreds of thousands of campaign data.
- Reliability: We've gotten greasy under the hood; our developers adjusted the underlying architecture to improve Editor’s consistency in successful bulk transfers.
There’s still work to be done, but we believe the best is yet to come, and together with you we will make Bing Ads Editor even better. You can see how v9.9 was shaped; what do you see next?
