The Ask an Expert will take place in the Bing Ads LinkedIn Group for one week during which you have the opportunity to ask any questions you have about Smart Search directly to Anna. ‘Ask an Experts’ intend to give you direct access to global Bing Ads experts for your benefit.
About Anna Hughes
Anna Hughes has spent the last 20 years in online marketing. She has held Account Planner and Director positions with various digital marketing agencies, helping large and small clients achieve their online marketing objectives across mediums and channels. She has also held various client-side marketing roles, including Product Marketing for Microsoft’s Mobile/Local Ads team, Expedia Media Solutions, The Cobalt Group, and various .com start-ups. Having held roles on both the publisher and advertiser sides of the house, she has a clear understanding of the trade-offs and opportunities inherent in bringing new media technologies to life.

Anna’s current role with Bing Ads is focused on the convergence of search engine marketing and display media. She has a deep understanding of marketers’ needs to leverage online channels to reach their increasingly fragmented audiences. She applies those insights to the development and marketing of search ad products which combine the best of user intent, branding, and task completion in beautiful and engaging new ways. Anna remains convinced that content and commerce can co-exist in exciting, irresistible ways, and that ads don’t have to be a tax on consumers.

Windows 8.1 leverages the search technology behind Bing.com’s search engine to deliver curated, organized, and visually appealing search results that combine information from wherever it lives. Smart Search pulls together documents, videos, and images from the searcher’s devices and SkyDrive, and combines those with information from the web, if the user chooses to include information from the web in their search results.
